Specifications:In-house specifications (Content: more than 95%)
Registry Number:24280-93-1
Molecular Formula:C17H20O6
Molecular Mass:320.34

Structural Formula
Chemical Name:6-(1, 3-Dihydro-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-4-methyl-1-oxoisobenzofuran-6-yl)-4-methyl-4-hexanoic acid
Appearance: Off-white to yellowish crystalline powder
Therapeutic Category:Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is marketed as the prodrug mycophenolate mofetil (MMF).
Mechanism of action: Mycophenolic Acid (MPA) is a potent, selective, noncompetitive and reversible inhibitor of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase(MPDH), the enzyme that controls the rate of synthesis of guanine monophosphate in the de novo pathway of purine synthesis used in the proliferation of B and T lymphocytes. Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is the 2-morpholinoethyl ester prodrug of MPA and is metabolized in the liver to the active moiety mycophenolic acid.
